live music this week from the mighty Leafhound - makers of a single album, the legendary 'Growers of Mushroom' feature original singer/writer Pete French along with a fresh line-up - an interview guest on the 'sHRiMP a few months back which was followed by an electric show at the Borderline to a packed and enthusiastic (especially the 'sHRiMPs Roxanne Stephen) crowd - Pete is now returning to us with the full band - a new studio album is near completion and the session will hopefully include tracks old and new. a live date (recommended) in the new year, Sunday 29th January 2006 at the Half Moon, Putney. let's erm, rock!

2 live guests today, Lumpola - Buckingham based DIYers, a 'stress management program' with 'no fixed musical goal' - begun in 1991, Lumpola has seen many new faces but now has a set line up of Fizzy Wilson on vocals and samples, Mick McCarthy on drums, Gerald White on bass and Gene Modified on guitar. Lumpola is a d.i.y. project with d.i.y. riffs and a d.i.y. shuffle in the step.
